I have a Doctoral degree in Biosystems Engineering from University of Manitoba and worked as a Researcher in Grain storage and quality analysis of grains for about ten years. I have recently authored a book on the applications of Imaging Techniques in the Agriculture and Food Industry, which is expected to be published shortly. In addition, I have written chapters for a number of text books in the field of Agricultural research. In my research career, I have published more than 15 research papers in National and International Journals, presented research articles in many national and international conferences. My passion to reduce food wastage made me to specialize in grain storage and grain quality research. I have been practicing Yoga for about five years. Over the years I have seen its effects grow in me. From being part of my life once, it has now become my way of living. As a result of regular practice of Yoga, I have felt significant changes within myself – particularly greater physical strength and stamina and a calm, content mind. I have travelled to India to get hands-on training in Hatha Yoga from the expert hands of Dr. Asana Andiappan and obtained an Advanced Teacher Training certificate from the Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre, Chennai, India. I am a registered member of the Canadian Yoga Alliance. I would like to share my knowledge of Yoga to the community and help them realize the immense benefits of yoga.
